We know that it can be difficult to take the first step and ask for help or information. Our staff will help you to work out what your options are and what information or services are most appropriate for you.

We can provide a wide range of accurate, up-to-date information on mental health issues including:

  • specialist mental health services, and
  • independent voluntary organisations and self-help groups
  • emergency contacts

If you are in crisis need to speak to someone urgently you might find the emergency contacts section of our website helpful.

The library, which is situated on the ground floor of our office at 166 Newport Road, has all sorts of books and videos about mental health and related issues.

We have a range of booklets, leaflets and newsletters from organisations covering a variety of issues, health problems and support services. They can be found either in our reception area or library.

Mind (National Association for Mental Health) has a range of easy-to-understand booklets which can be read online or purchased from its online shop. These booklets can be viewed by this link to the Mind website Information.
