All our counsellors hold a level 4 diploma in counselling or equivalent / higher qualification and are registered with the BACP, NCPS or equivalent professional counselling body. Your counselling session will either take place in one of our comfy counselling rooms, or remotely, supported by professional counselling software. If you’re not sure which option will suit you, you can find more information about the different options below.
Please note that all our counselling services (unless otherwise specified) are for clients aged 18+
We pride ourselves on offering high-quality counselling which puts you first, at a lower cost than traditional private counselling. You can view our counsellor profiles below as well as find out more about their approach and expertise. You can also view their live availability and book in a session that suits you. Alternatively, you can click to view all appointments and select any room and counsellor to see all available sessions. If you can’t see a time that suits you, please get in touch, so that we can add you to our waiting list, and one of the team will contact you as soon as we have availability. We aim to make sure all clients are seen within two weeks and can often offer sessions immediately.
Once you’ve booked a session, you will be sent further information and a short form by email, as well as details of how to pay. You will also receive a call from one of our team to answer any questions you might have. Our Counselling Coordinator and Administrator are also qualified counsellors, meaning that we really understand what you need.
[PAID] Individual CBT
We also offer sessions with a specific CBT focus, delivered by a qualified practitioner. The sessions will be focussed and agenda-led to make sure that the things that are most important to you are addressed and that you get the most out of the time. This will involve trying specific strategies and methods for bringing about lasting change to your mental health. One of the advantages of this approach is that it will seek to tackle specific problems such as low mood or having anxieties or distress.
[FREE] Initial Assessment
If you’re not sure what you want to access, you can book an initial assessment. This is a simple 30-minute appointment where we will take down some details and ask you some questions. We will go through the options with you to find what kind of counselling would suit you best. We provide these face-to-face, online or by telephone to suits your needs.
[LOW-COST] Individual Counselling
We also offer a low-cost counselling service, staffed by counselling students in their final stages of training. These students are studying toward a diploma or higher qualification and are usually in their 3rd or 4th year of training. They are student members of a counselling professional body and are supervised by a qualified counselling supervisor.
You will be assessed by a qualified counsellor before accessing this service in accordance with counselling ethical guidelines and in some cases, it may not be appropriate to place you with a student counsellor
Clients accessing this service will access a limited number of sessions, which can be provided face-to-face, online or by telephone. Like most free or low-cost services, this service has a longer waiting list than paid services due to high demand and a limited number of spaces. There may also be times when we cannot offer clients their first preference of face-to-face, online or telephone sessions.
